Alex Napior (Biology/Spanish) ’17, reads from Breaking the Silence: Pinochet You Stand Accused/Rompiendo el silencio: Yo te acuso Pinochet, by Martha Helena Montoya Vélez. The book was translated by Y. L. Mariela Wong with Alex’s collaboration. Last summer, Napior received a BCLA Career Pathways grant to intern at the Campanario Biological Station in Costa Rica. He writes, “My work gave me insight into how a small organization can operate to bring communities together and educate people about the importance of conserving our natural resources.”
