ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Orestis Rouskas is 25 years old and lives in Athens. He is a graduate of the Department of Industrial Management and Technology at the University of Piraeus. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in film production, having worked in various roles across multiple short and feature-length projects, as assistant director, production manager, and script supervisor.
In 2021, he directed his student short film "Transistor Radio", which won 2nd Prize for Best Student Film at the 11th Micro μ Festival in Athens.
In 2023, he created his first short film titled "Caged", which was included in the Cannes Film Market Catalogue and has since won several awards for Best Short Film at the London Greek Film Festival, the Global Independent Film Festival of India, and the Athens Marathon International Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best European Short Film at the Love and Hope International Film Festival in Barcelona.
In September of the same year, he was admitted to the MA program in Cultural Management at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University. He is currently working as the Production Director of the International Animation Festival, "Animasyros".
