Policy
Review the academic policy on Transfer Credit and Articulation.
The Transfer Course Review (TCR) form must be submitted by any undergraduate student regularly enrolled at LMU who wishes to take courses at a college or university other than Loyola Marymount University prior to enrollment. The Office of the Registrar will review the course(s) for general transferability and possible fulfillment of a Core requirement. Courses taken with the intention of fulfilling a major or minor requirement must also be reviewed and approved by the Associate Dean of the student’s College or School prior to enrollment in such courses. Courses taken without this approval may not be counted toward the degree.
Note that Study Abroad programs may require the student to submit a TCR to determine if the coursework can apply toward your major, minor, and/or core requirements.
Process
Visit the Registrar's "Forms" page and select the "Registrar Service Portal" to begin the process of submitting a TCR form. Once a student locates the course that they would like to take at another institution, they will submit the Transfer Course Review form via the Registrar's online service portal. Please note that the processing time one these requests is at minimum 10 business days. Once the request is completed students are strongly advised to save a copy of the TCR form for their records.
