Paul Vu, S.J.
Assistant Dean of Students; Lecturer of Psychology
Fr. Paul H. Vu, S.J., Ph.D. was born in Vietnam and came to the U.S when he was five years old. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at The University of Texas-Austin, he attended The University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on acculturation and men’s issues. He completed his doctoral internship at The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and before joining the Society of Jesus in August of 2000. Paul completed his philosophy studies at St. Louis University and worked and taught at Regis University in Denver for three years prior to receiving his Master in Divinity (M.Div.), Master in Theology (M.Th.), and Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.) at Santa Clara University’s Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley in 2011 and 2012, respectively. He was ordained as a priest in June 2011 and is currently the Assistant Dean of Students, the Director for Community of Care, and a Lecturer for the Psychology Department at LMU and is serving on the Board of Trustees at Santa Clara University.
