“A Farther Shore” is a series of panel discussions taking place across the U.S. throughout spring 2021 exploring the advent of Irish Independence in 1920-21.
Hosted by the Irish Studies Program at LMU and the Consulate General of Ireland Los Angeles, the LMU forum will focus on the Anglo-Irish treaty negotiations, which culminated in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921, brought the Irish War of Independence to an end, and secured independence for the Irish Free State.
This event was held virtually via Zoom.
