Our top producer of Fulbright awardees, Professor Petra Liedke Konow
Since 1996, fifteen of her German minor students have received Fulbright scholarships to Germany or Austria. These students majored in a variety of subjects including English, European Studies, Film Production, History, Humanities, International Business, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Theater Arts, and Theology. “Most of these applicants had never taken German before. Their language knowledge gave them a significant edge,” said Liedke Konow. They all gained proficiency in German while at LMU which was essential for their successful Fulbright applications.
