This course is an exploration of community-based efforts in the greater Los Angeles area and beyond, which contribute to making a better and more socially just world. The basic premise of the course is that through collaboration and cooperation we can, and indeed must, create a better, more just, and more sustainable world. The course is designed around an ethics of care and solidarity with one another and the natural world.
