Yoga Therapy is an emerging discipline that applies ancient yogic wisdom as a form of healing, complementary to modern medicine. Beyond offering the first accredited Master of Arts in Yoga Studies program outside of India, LMU stands out with its unique Post-Graduate Yoga Therapy (PGYT) certificate program. This unique program includes guiding students in creating evidence-informed yoga therapy programs that can be implemented in the community, setting it apart from other yoga therapy programs.
What is the Post-Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy (PGYT)?
The PGYT is an academic qualification that provides students with skills to work with yoga therapy clients one-on-one and small therapeutic groups. This certificate program includes nine graduate credits and two continuing education co-requisite courses and can be completed in one to two years online or in person. Students seeking certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) must meet additional qualifications stipulated below (see Courses).
BCLA Yoga Studies offers students the opportunity to:

Students with yoga teaching experience who have completed graduate degrees in other modalities, who are Licensed Healthcare Providers, or who are certified Yoga Therapists with the International Association of Yoga Therapists are also eligible to apply for the Post-Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy.
