Integrative Yoga Therapy for Addiction Recovery: Theory, Evidence, and Clinical Practice

This continuing education course offers an in-depth exploration of Yoga as a powerful, evidence-based intervention in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) and behavioral addictions. Drawing on current research and theoretical frameworks, students will examine how integrative Yoga Therapy supports sustained abstinence, mitigates the risk of relapse, and facilitates holistic, long-term recovery.

The curriculum emphasizes practical clinical application, equipping participants with the skills to assess client needs, design tailored Yoga Therapy protocols, and ethically implement these mind-body practices within diverse treatment settings. Through a blend of didactic instruction and experiential learning, this course empowers future Yoga Therapists to effectively integrate somatic and contemplative approaches into comprehensive addiction care.
