Porsche Boddicker-Young, Ph.D.
Research Associate
Dr. Porsche Boddicker-Young is a Developmental Psychologist and Research Associate at the Psychology Applied Research Center (PARC) at Loyola Marymount University. Her work centers on equity-focused research and evaluation, particularly in service of Black children, families, and communities. She applies culturally responsive and human-centered approaches to help shape systems that are more inclusive and just.
Dr. Boddicker-Young earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Developmental Psychology from Howard University and her B.S. in Psychology from Morgan State University—both Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), grounding her commitment to culturally inclusive scholarship. Before joining LMU, she served as a Senior Researcher and Equity-Centered Advisor at Mathematica, where she led national projects funded by the USDA, IMLS, and foundations such as Hilton, Gates, and Robert Wood Johnson. Her work has included designing Learning Agendas, supporting community-based participatory research, and building organizational capacity for equitable research practices. She remains passionate about work that is co-created with communities and used to inform policies, programs, and systems for long-term impact.
