Graduate Research Assistant

Mia Clark is an administrative coordinator and research assistant in the Psychology Applied Research Center at LMU. She recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University in December 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her undergraduate career, Mia was an undergraduate research assistant with PARC and she became interested in how research can help address disparities experienced in communities of color. Her senior thesis project focused on how generational trauma impacts the emotional regulation in Black American communities, connecting to high rates for depression and other mental health illnesses. Mia’s research interests include community mental health interventions and healing, community organizing, and community and clinical psychology. She hopes to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology in the near future to help serve her community.
