Garland Kirkpatrick is an award-winning designer and curator skilled in visualizing complex social issues through clear and thoughtful communication design. He is a nationally recognized book artist and publication designer who regularly collaborates with museums, artists, educators and a spectrum of cultural and community groups on the design of social justice campaigns, visual identities, and independent publishing projects. His social graphics have appeared in The Design of Dissent: Socially and Politically Driven Graphics, The McKinsey Quarterly, and the film Fast Food Nation. In 2014, and 2006 he was the consulting graphic designer to the Department of Cultural Affairs in Los Angeles.
