Christine Nguyen, M.A.
Senior Research Assistant

Christine Nguyen is a senior research assistant at the Psychology Applied Research Center at LMU. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master of Arts degree in Applied Quantitative Research from New York University. As an undergraduate, she interned with organizations such as Boat People SOS and the DC Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs. During her time at NYU, she focused her graduate studies on the relationship between cultural hegemony, white institutional spaces, and implicit racial bias, which materialized into a thesis researching the concepts of sexual racism and gendered race as forms of implicit bias.

Christine’s research interests are interdisciplinary in scope and include topics such as the social and psychological determinants of implicit bias, racialized images in media, embodied cultural capital in the global context, racial triangulation, and inequity and intersectionality.
