Beverly Conrique, Ph.D.
Research Associate

Dr. Bev Conrique is a Research Associate at the Psychology Applied Research Center, where she brings extensive experience leading cross-sectional, experimental, mixed-methods, and longitudinal studies. Her research interests lie at the intersection of social science and social justice, with a focus on how identity-driven and interpersonal processes can be harnessed through community programs to challenge systemic inequities. She is particularly committed to applied, action-oriented, community-based research that informs policies and interventions aimed at promoting equity and empowerment in underserved communities.

Dr. Conrique earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and both a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Her doctoral research explored how identity, moral conviction, and perceptions of disagreement shape political conflict—particularly in response to sociopolitical issues like gun violence, climate change, reproductive rights, and affirmative action. This work continues to inform her commitment to research that not only deepens scientific understanding, but also supports the people and communities most impacted by systemic injustice. She is passionate about conducting rigorous, transparent, and community-engaged research—not only about people, but conducted with and for them—to advance both scientific understanding and social change.
