Alan Nigena
Senior Research Assistant
My name is Alan Nigena, and I am a public health professional with a strong academic background and a passion for community-driven research and outreach. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health from Franklin and Marshall College and went on to complete a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Epidemiology from New York University. My dedication to public health extends beyond academic coursework through my internship experiences at World Vision International and WaterAid International. Volunteerism has also been an integral part of my journey as I worked with the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas in Lancaster, PA, to identify barriers to the successful completion of the drug and alcohol treatment court. Throughout my academic pursuits and applied experiences, I have gained a passion for public health research, community engagement, and program implementation.
