Alumni Spotlight: Faith Floyd
Faith Floyd (’21, International Relations) works at New World Distribution, where she helps bring films to global audiences and collaborates with sustainable brands and tourism boards to support culturally grounded storytelling.
At LMU, Faith cultivated a broad and interdisciplinary perspective, participating in the Music & Meditation Club and exploring courses such as Science and Religion, which continue to inform her intellectual and spiritual outlook. In addition to her work in film distribution, she is a musician, piano teacher, beekeeper, and recently completed her first studio EP.
Her International Relations background shapes her artistic practice. She credits her education with helping her write more informed, globally conscious lyrics and develop a well-rounded understanding of culture and society.
Currently, she is working on a show that explores sociology, sustainability, and cultural conceptions of happiness around the world. Faith advises students not to feel boxed into a single path or constrained by others’ expectations, emphasizing that intellectual curiosity and creative exploration often lead to the most meaningful careers.
