The JBI welcomes both reports of empirical research and articles that increase theoretical understanding of medicine and health care, the health professions and the biological sciences. The JBI is also open to critical reflections on medicine and conventional bioethics, the nature of health, illness and disability, the sources of ethics, the nature of ethical communities, and possible implications of new developments in science and technology for social and cultural life and human identity.

The American Journal of Law & Medicine (AJLM) is North America’s leading health law journal devoted exclusively to the analysis of issues at the nexus of law and medicine. Its broad editorial scope includes health law and policy; updates on significant legal decisions and developments affecting health care; legal, ethical and economic aspects of medical practice, research and education; book reviews and much more.

Medicine, Health Care and Philosophy: A European Journal is the official journal of the European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care. It provides a forum for international exchange of research data, theories, reports and opinions on bioethics, and the philosophy of medicine and health care in general. The journal promotes interdisciplinary studies, and stimulates international exchange. Particular attention is paid to developing contributions from all European countries, and to making accessible scientific work and reports on the practice of health care ethics, from all nations, cultures and language areas in Europe.

Christian Bioethics is a non-ecumenical, interdenominational journal, exploring the Christian faiths with regard to the meaning of human life, sexuality, suffering, illness, and death within the context of medicine and health care. Christian Bioethics seeks not to gloss over the differences among the Christian faiths, but rather to underscore the content-full moral commitments that separate and give moral substance. It is interdenominational in involving editors and inviting contributions from different Christian perspectives.

The Hastings Center Report explores ethical, legal, and social issues in medicine, health care, public health, and the life sciences. Six issues per year offer articles, essays, case studies of bioethical problems, columns on law and policy, caregivers’ stories, peer-reviewed scholarly articles, and book reviews. Authors come from an assortment of professions and academic disciplines and express a range of perspectives and political opinions. For four decades, The Journal of Medicine and Philosophy has been the flagship scholarly journal in bioethics and the philosophy of medicine. Its contributors and focus are international, addressing bioethical concerns across the world. Cambridge Quarterly of Healthcare Ethics is designed to serve as an international forum for addressing the increasingly complex challenges of biology, medicine and healthcare. As a journal committed to expanding the community of bioethicists worldwide, CQ welcomes well-argued papers from a variety of methodological and normative viewpoints.

The Journal of Applied Philosophy publishes original philosophical research addressing problems of practical concern. Owned by the Society for Applied Philosophy, the journal is open to diverse viewpoints and methods while covering a broad spectrum of issues, including the environment, health and health care, science, technology and media, law, economics, the family, sexuality, race, gender, and education. The journal publishes in all areas of applied philosophy, including applied ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of language, epistemology, and philosophy of mind.

Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics (NIB) provides a forum for exploring current issues in bioethics through the publication and analysis of personal stories, qualitative and mixed-methods research articles, and case studies. Articles may address the experiences of patients and research participants as well as health care workers and researchers. NIB is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of bioethical issues by engaging rich descriptions of complex human experiences. While NIB upholds appropriate standards for narrative inquiry and qualitative research, it seeks to publish articles that will appeal to a broad readership of health care providers and researchers, bioethicists, sociologists, policy makers, and others.

Journal of Medical Ethics is a leading journal covering the whole field of medical ethics, promoting ethical reflection and conduct in scientific research and medical practice. JME features articles on ethical aspects of health care relevant to health care professionals, members of clinical ethics committees, medical ethics professionals, researchers and bioscientists, policy makers and patients.

BMC Medical Ethics is an open access journal publishing original peer-reviewed research articles in relation to the ethical aspects of biomedical research and clinical practice, including professional choices and conduct, medical technologies, healthcare systems and health policies.

Nursing Ethics takes a practical approach to this complex subject and relates each topic to the working environment. The articles on ethical and legal issues are written in a comprehensible style and official documents are analysed in a user-friendly way.
