Urban Studies

Urban Studies at LMU is an interdisciplinary program that engages students and faculty in the systematic study of cities and the complex problems of urbanization in the modern world. Urban Studies students can tailor their studies to reflect their personal interests and career objectives by selecting classes from the wide range of academic departments contributing to the Urban Studies Program curriculum.

Urban Studies students will develop an understanding of the multitude of issues confronting cities today and will develop the skills necessary to address them. Recent graduates have gone on to graduate programs in urban planning, public administration, policy analysis, and law, while others have found employment in local and regional government agencies, community organizations, law enforcement, education, and real estate.
