SOCL 2000 Qualitative Research Methods
Dr. Anna Muraco built her Spring ‘24 class, SOCL 2000 Qualitative Research Methods, around a collaborative research project with students in the course to understand how current LMU students' learning and social needs were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The class designed the study, wrote interview questions, received IRB approval, and collected interview data from 47 LMU students. For their final semester projects, students analyzing the interview data and Dr. Muraco will share some of the findings with the department and BCLA faculty. Dr. Muraco plans to continue using this project in future courses to collect additional data and ultimately, she hopes to publish an article about the findings.
