Adeline Ventrone-Ortega '25 | 2025-26 Fellow
About:
Adeline is a master’s candidate in Healthcare Systems Engineering at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and a LMU alumna with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Health and Society. She has participated in multiple interdisciplinary research projects examining the intersection of health, policy, and patient experience, with a particular focus on women living with autoimmune disease. This interest was shaped by her own diagnosis with two autoimmune conditions.
Adeline is deeply passionate about social determinants of health and the ways in which policy influences healthcare access, quality, and outcomes. Her academic and professional work bridges political science and healthcare to better understand how research and policy can drive meaningful improvements in patient care. She has gained applied experience through internships with Kaiser Permanente’s Population Care Management Department and Venice Family Clinic. Currently, she serves as a RISE research assistant with AltaMed’s Institute for Health Equity.
Through the Baretto Fellowship, Adeline currently conducts research focused on the quality and coordination of student health and wellness services at LMU. Drawing on both her Health and Society background and Healthcare Systems Engineering training, she evaluates the current state of campus services and identifies opportunities to improve accessibility and delivery.
