Minor Requirements

A student wishing to declare the English minor must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of C (2.0). The minor requires a minimum of 20 semester units (8 Lower Division Units and 12 Upper Division Units).  Students should consult Dr. K.J. • Lower Division Coursework (8 Units):

Choose 2 courses (one course per category)

1. 1. ENGL 22XX: History of Literature, Media and Culture

• Upper Division Coursework (12 Units):

Choose 3 courses (one course per category)

1. 1. ENGL 31XX: Pre-1800 Literature
      
      
   2. ENGL 33XX: Elective
      
      
   3. ENGL 36XX: Race, Intersectionality, and Power
      
      
   4. ENGL 44XX: Creative/Artistry
      
      
   5. ENGL 5XXX: Seminar

A minimum grade of C (2.0) must be obtained in each course in the minor.
Enrollment in upper division minor courses requires junior standing.
