GPI Career Spotlight: Think Tanks

Monday, Jan. 24, 2022 | 4-5 p.m. PST

  • GPI Career Spotlight: Think Tanks

The LMU Global Policy Institute is excited to host the next chapter of the GPI Career Spotlight Initiative by introducing students to the role of think tanks in global policy. This event will be hosted by Jonathan Pollack, the Global Policy Institute's Distinguished Scholar of Strategic Studies. The discussion will cover Pollack's personal observations and experiences, covering his time at RAND, the Naval War College, Brookings, and his presence on a National Academy of Sciences Standing Committee. Through this event, Pollack will remove some of the mystery surrounding think tanks for students interested in the field. The first half of this event will begin with Pollack's presentation, while the second half will be reserved for student Q&As from the audience.

This event is part of the GPI Career Spotlight Initiative. This initiative invites professionals in international relations and global policy to talk about their careers and experiences. The initiative aims to provide LMU students with ideas of professional pathways in international relations and global policy, and hopes to inspire the next generation of global citizens to become changemakers in their lives after the Bluff.
