Students in the interdisciplinary Health and Society minor critically explore the social and cultural foundations of health and disease. They examine how patterns of inequality and public policies shape the distribution of health and disease across populations. They investigate the impact of culture on understandings and experiences of the body, health, and illness. They are challenged and inspired to develop solutions to some of the world’s most pressing health problems.
