Beyond the Program
ISSJS - Jain Studies Program
ISSJS - Jain Studies Program: India Immersion
Through the ISSJS program our MA candidates are provided the opportunity to learn about Jaina Yoga in India as part of the summer school program.
ISSJS also offers additional programs for students not enrolled in the LMU MA Yoga Studies Program. Those include Teaching for Peace, an immersion experience in practical nonviolence for classroom educators and both four and six week immersion experiences for students of all levels in Jainism.
The Prison Yoga Project
This trauma-informed program introduces students to techniques for offering Yoga to prison inmates as well others in sensitive, high intensity settings. Students have the opportunity to volunteer teach in a local woman's prison.
