The Residential program is the fastest way to the M.A. degree. Offered as a cohort style experience, students go through the 2-year program together gaining the chance to build strong connections and foster a lasting sense of community.
- The total time to complete the Residential M.A. in Yoga Studies will be 21 months (36 semester units). Students should allow additional time to fulfill Certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) requirements (optional), plus pre/co-requisite certificate program through LMU’s Center for Religion and Spirituality (CRS).

The Residential Yoga Therapy Program is offers many of the same benefits and experience as the Residential Yoga Studies M.A. but emphasizes Yoga Therapy Applications.

The low-residency program is a route made to accommodate students unable to attend classes on the LMU campus. Spread out over the course of 3 years, this route allows students to pursue the M.A. degree from the comfort of their city with a few required campus visits.

The low-residency Yoga Therapy program offers a low-residency option for those interested in Yoga Therapy applications who are unable or prefer not to meet full time on campus.
- Total time to complete the Low Residency M.A. in Yoga Studies is 33 months (36 semester units). Students should allow additional time to fulfill Certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) requirements (optional), plus pre/co-requisite certificate program through LMU’s Center for Religion and Spirituality (CRS).

In addition to the M.A. degree, students who wish to follow the 2-year residential program curriculum may choose to add an additional year in which to pursue the Post-Graduate Yoga Therapy Certificate (PGYT).
