The Graduate Theological Studies Program faculty invite you to consider submitting your work to our annual graduate student conference:

"Say Something Theological"
16th annual LMU Graduate Student Theology Conference
Saturday, April 10, 2021 | 9:30 a.m.
Graduate Theological Studies | Loyola Marymount University

The conference will take place virtually via Zoom.

Please submit a 500 word proposal that provides a working thesis statement and basic summary of the argument in your paper. Proposals should also include your name and a tentative title. Papers can be works in progress (e.g., a thesis or pastoral synthesis project or a research paper from a course), and papers on all theological topics are suitable for submission. If accepted, you will have a maximum of 15 minutes to present, followed by a 3-5 minute response from a fellow student, and 10-15 minutes of Q&A with the audience. We anticipate and welcome proposals from both Theology and Pastoral Theology, Westchester Campus and San Gabriel Valley Cohort students.

Please submit your 500 word proposal by Friday, March 12, 2021. Submit proposals as an email attachment to Graduate Assistant Leonardo Mendoza: A faculty committee will review all proposals and determine the program.

In addition to submitting a paper proposal, you can serve as a respondent to a paper. Respondents will receive papers one week in advance and provide brief comments. Please contact Dr. Michael Horan if you are interested in serving as a respondent.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Michael Horan or Leonardo Mendoza.

We look forward to receiving your proposals!
