Say Something Theological: The Student Journal of Theological Studies

**Please note that in light of public health concerns related to the coronavirus and out of an abundance of caution, the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts has decided to postpone this event. It will be rescheduled, and a new date will be announced on this site.**

The Graduate Theological Studies Program faculty invite you to consider submitting your work to our annual graduate student conference:

"Say Something Theological"
15th annual LMU Graduate Student Theology Conference
Saturday, April 4, 2020 | 9:30 a.m.
Theological Studies Village | Loyola Marymount University

The conference will conclude with a lunch, leading into the afternoon Undergraduate Theology Conference.

Interested in sharing your work with fellow students?

Please submit a 500 word proposal that provides a working thesis statement and basic summary of the argument in your paper. Proposals should also include your name and a tentative title. Papers can be works in progress (e.g., a thesis or pastoral synthesis project or a research paper from a course), and papers on all theological topics are suitable for submission. If accepted, you will have a maximum of 15-20 minutes to present, followed by a 3-5 minute response from a fellow student, and 10-15 minutes of questions and answers with the audience. We anticipate and welcome proposals from both Theology and Pastoral Theology, Westchester Campus and San Gabriel Valley Cohort students.

Please submit your 500 word proposal by Friday, March 13, 2020. Submit proposals as an email attachment to Dr. Brett Hoover. A faculty committee will review all proposals and determine the program.

In addition to submitting a paper proposal, you can serve as a respondent to a paper. Respondents will receive papers one week in advance and provide brief comments.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Hoover.

The faculty look forward to receiving your proposals!
