Featuring an eclectic collection of films showcasing the range and talents of Francophone cinema, this year’s selection offers internationally acclaimed films from renowned filmmakers such as Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (2019) by Céline Sciamma, and Varda par Agnès (2019) by the eponymous late director; genre-defying works such as Cassandro, the Exotico! (2018) by Marie Losier; comedies such as Sibyl (2019) by Justine Triet; first films such as Tout est pardonné (2007) by Mia Hansen Løve; and classics, such as a major film of African cinema, Hyènes (1992) by filmmaker Djibril Diop Mambéty.

Each film is presented virtually in Zoom by LMU faculty who bring to the forefront interdisciplinary and intercultural expertise; it is followed by discussions and Q/A with the audience in Zoom.

For more information about the LMU events, please contact Dr. Véronique Flambard-Weisbart.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER FOR EACH SCREENING INDIVIDUALLY.
