LGBTQ Studies

This program invites students into dynamic conversations about how gender and sexuality shape—and are shaped by—history, culture, and society. You'll gain critical tools to explore how these identities intersect with race, class, nationality, and more. While grounded in local experiences, the program also takes a global perspective, examining LGBTQ identities and movements across diverse cultural and political landscapes. Drawing from the humanities, social sciences, and beyond, the minor encourages you to think deeply about both past and present struggles for justice, and to better understand the rich diversity of human experience.
