Thanks to generous donors, the Bioethics Institute of Loyola Marymount University is able to invite leading scholars in the field of Bioethics to hold the Austin and Anne O’Malley visiting Chair in Bioethics. With an office in the Institute, over the course of one semester the visiting scholar is available as a resource for the LMU and wider public community. In addition to teaching a graduate level course for Bioethics Institute students, the O’Malley Chair gives lectures to various departments and undergraduate courses, hosts luncheons, and is able to complete original research. Finally, the scholar gives our annual Austin & Anne O’Malley Chair Bioethics Lecture on a prominent topic within the field.
