YTI FAQs

LMU Youth Theology Institute
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is included in registration?
Registration includes housing for the week, meals/snacks, transportation, entrance fees, materials, t-shirt and all other related costs.  It does not include parking costs for participants who drive.  The LMU YTI is made possible by a generous grant from the Lily Endowment Inc.

Where will my son/daughter be sleeping?
All YTI participants will be staying in one of the LMU residence halls.  Rooms there are double occupancy, most adjoined to another room with a shared bathroom.  YTI staff take special care in preparing the housing list.  Participants will be paired up with another YTI participant from another school or church to promote a broader sense of community at YTI.  All rooms, together with adjoining rooms sharing a bathroom, will be single sex. If possible, all rooms on a given floor will be single sex.

Will there be supervision at YTI?
YTI participants will be supervised by undergraduate or graduate mentors and faculty throughout the week.  Four faculty members supervise the YTI (including one living in the residence halls), and there will be one mentor for every 8-10 participants at all times.  All mentors and faculty have completed safe environment training and directives (fingerprinting & VIRTUS training) provided by Safeguard the Children in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

I’ve completed the minor release form and code of conduct, where should I send it?
