The Urban Studies Program is an interdisciplinary program, integrating classes from a variety of departments in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts at LMU. The Urban Studies Program offers both a major and a minor. Urban Studies students encounter a comprehensive academic program with ambitious student learning outcomes in terms of the knowledge, skills, and values developed through the program’s courses.
The Urban Studies Program faculty offers courses each semester dealing with a variety of urban topics, but many of the courses in the program curriculum are offered by other departments in the College of Liberal Arts, including African American Studies, Asian American Studies, Chicano Studies, Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology.
The Program Director advises Urban Studies students to assist them in the selection of courses appropriate to their academic and professional interests. If you would like more information about the major or minor, please contact the Urban Studies Program.
