What is Human Subject Pool?
The Subject Pool is a learning experience for students in PSYC 100, PSYC 101, and PSYC 241 courses, which allows them to participate in research conducted through the Psychology Department at Loyola Marymount University. Students who participate in the Subject Pool acquire hands-on experience of social science research.


What is Sona Systems?
Sona Systems is an online Experiment Management System that provides us with an easy-to-use, web-accesible, regulation-compliant interface to handle all the scheduling an management of experiments. Students can sign up for experiments online, experimenter can set up their experiments online, and instructors can monitor their students' credit hours. This is all done from a simple, quick interface that can be accessed from any web browser, 24 hours a day.

Step 1
Submit Forms to Psychology Department
(note: Must submit "Intent to Use Human Subject Pool" form by the first week of the semester.)

Step 2
Get Approval From the IRB

Register an Experiment on Sona Systems.
