Transfer Students
General information on transferring to Loyola Marymount
University is available from LMU Undergraduate Admissions.
To identify courses completed at other academic institutions that are
transferable to LMU's baccalaureate degree programs, see the Registrar's
Articulation Agreements with other colleges and universities.
In addition, courses may transfer from other regionally accredited institutions
and will be evaluated based on LMU equivalencies. Courses may transfer
in as elective (unit credit) courses or courses that fulfill university
core curriculum or lower division major requirements.
Transfer students seeking to major or minor in Psychology at LMU would
do well to complete as many of the following courses as possible prior
to admission to LMU.

- Mathematics: Elementary Statistics
- Philosophy: Critical Thinking
- Psychology: General Psychology, Brain and Behavior
(also called Biopsychology or Physiological Psychology)

Completion
of these courses is required before students may enroll in other courses
required for the major or minor in psychology. Two-thirds of upper division major courses must be completed
at LMU.
