  • LMU Mock Trial

Collegiate mock trail functions in yearly cycles. Each year, a case packet is distributed to all participating schools in late summer. The case packet is a series of documents including the charges, penal code, stipulations, and case law as well as all exhibits and affidavits relevant to the case.

Competitors are restricted to only the materials provided in the case packet. Teams consisting of 6-10 members thoroughly read and analyze the case packets. Each team prepares both sides of the case: prosecution and defense in a criminal trial, plaintiff and defense in a civil action.

Teams compete in regional tournaments and invitations, and qualifying teams go on to compete at the national level.

  • Florida State University is pleased to announce the 2014 Summer for Undergraduates Program! The Summer Program, which will be hosted May 19-June 12, 2014 on Florida State University College of Law’s campus, is an intensive, four-week program that gives students an “inside look” at law school and the legal profession to help them decide whether law is a wise choice for their professional careers.

This e-flyer will direct students to our Web site, which provides information on how to apply, frequently asked questions, a program video, and a sample schedule. Students should be happy to know that they can apply and submit all of their documents online in an easy-to-complete application.

We are expanding our reach every year and would love to host one or more of your students during the 2014 program (click here for a list of past participating schools).  The application process is rather competitive, but if you have an exceptional student that would be great for this program, please don’t hesitate to contact us about him/her.  Also, let us know if you have questions or desire additional information.  Thanks in advance for your assistance!
