Team Rubicon (teamrubiconusa.org) currently has internship positions available to university students who are interested in getting hands-on experience with nonprofit administration. Team Rubicon is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that rapidly responds globally to natural disasters by deploying teams of military veterans and medics. The goal of Team Rubicon is to ease the suffering of those afflicted by tragedy and to provide meaningful service opportunities to military veterans.
Team Rubicon has a unique culture that revolves around a positive, ‘can do’ attitude. Applicants should be eager to make a positive difference in an organization that is young and rapidly growing, and should be comfortable with a fast-paced, independent, and dynamic work environment. Interns will get the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to Team Rubicon, while also getting hands on experience with running the administrative side of a non-profit organization.

Internships available:
Fundraising / Development Intern
- Research appropriate grant and funding opportunities for Team Rubicon
- Assist in writing and applying for grants
- Assist in designing, implementing and maintaining online fundraising campaigns
- Donor management (thank yous, gifts, database management, etc)
- Event coordination
- Develop a fundraising campaign to engage college students
- Other duties as assigned
Accounting Intern
- Donation management (receipts, database management, etc)
- Coordinate getting receipts and proper expense report documentation with TR volunteers
- Develop financial and fundraising reports
- Additional donation management responsibilities during a disaster response
- Collaborate with / develop SOPs for Team Rubicon Accounting and Finance Interns in other Team Rubicon chapters
- Other duties as assigned
Film Intern
- Catalog footage
- Assist in production, editing, and/or filming of TR produced films/video content (depending on skills)
- Depending on time, produce/direct a film about engaging university students in our mission
- Other duties as assigned
Communications Intern
- Help manage Team Rubicon social media platforms
- Assist the PR Manager in writing press releases
- Work with TR graphic designers on assigned projects
- Develop and write compelling blog content (volunteer profiles, appropriate articles, etc)
- Research appropriate press contacts for TR
- Develop marketing campaigns specific to university students
- Work with the Fundraising/Development and film interns on appropriate campaigns
Logistics / Gear / Supplies Intern
- Maintain gear inventory (serialized, medical, travel gear)
- Assist with trip planning and logistics
- Maintain inventory for Team Rubicon online sales
- Construct and maintain volunteer profiles; collect certifications
- Process incoming gear and supply donations
- Other duties as assigned
