Marketing & Communications Internship
Good Neighbors USA Introduction Good Neighbors USA (GNUSA) is a tax-exempt, international humanitarian and development NGO in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC). GNUSA raises funds for and plans and implements the provision of services in the areas of child education, community development, health, sanitation and disaster relief projects in 29 developing countries.
This is a part-time, 15-hour/week position that is two-fold and combines both marketing and communications. The Marketing & Communications Assistant will report directly to the Program Coordinator and assist with various marketing campaigns, communications, event planning, and research to help publicize Good Neighbors’ humanitarian projects to potential donors. The assistant will participate in all aspects of marketing campaigns, from conception to planning, design, and execution. He/she will also assist with communications, including writing, editing and proofreading, social media posts, blogging, and other editorial projects as necessary. The assistant will also help the Program Coordinator plan and budget events.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
• Ability to brainstorm and participate in marketing campaign strategies, content design, and event planning. An eye for web and print design is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to assist in creating compelling content for different kinds of interactive media including websites, email newsletters, and social media
• Organized, proactive employee who can work easily with others
