Councilmember Mitchell Englander

Councilmember Mitchell Englander was elected to serve as Los Angeles City Councilmember for the Twelfth District on March 8, 2011 with 58% of the vote in the primary in a crowded field, without using taxpayer funds. He represents the communities of Granada Hills, Northridge, Porter Ranch, Chatsworth, North Hills, Lake Balboa, West Hills, Winnetka, Encino, Canoga Park and Reseda.

Duties include:

  • Assists in the analysis and development of policies & legislation that impact the council district and the City
  • Monitors and provides staffing support for City Council sessions and certain council committees, as assigned;
  • Interacts with various city departments and field staff to ensure responsiveness to council district needs

They only have one City Hall intern every semester.  Applicants must be able to work two full days a week.   These are the approximate months of the three internships in our office, mid September to December, January to May, May to September.
