Lance Blakesley received his B.A. from the University of Illinois and his M.A. and Ph. D. from Northwestern University. His teaching and research efforts are focused on urban politics, political leadership, housing policy, and politics and educational policy. He has spent a considerable amount of time in India and is particularly interested in issues concerning the economic and political development of India.
