Libraries + Research
The Charles Von der Ahe Library houses over 500,000 books and bound periodicals, and subscribes to more than 150 research databases and 17,000 electronic periodicals. Treasures include a 1651 edition of Thomas Hobbes’ Leviathan and nearly one million postcards in the Werner von Boltenstern Postcard Collection.
The William H. Hannon Library, scheduled to open Fall 2009, will house 88,000 square feet of space in a LEED-certified building on the bluff.
