GRAFS - Graduate Research Award For Summer

2008 GRAFS Application

GRAFS Award Recipients

Who is Eligible?
Applicant must be an enrolled graduate student in one of the graduate programs in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts. Graduate students who have not yet reached the thesis or project stage by the end of the summer 2008 semester are eligible to apply. The necessity is that the applicant still be a graduate student at LMU during fall 2008.

What is Required?
The research project must be conducted under the supervision of a faculty sponsor in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts. The proposed research project must be the student’s primary research work and not simply an extension of the faculty’s own work. Although close collaboration is expected, the grantee and faculty sponsor should clearly outline the independent aspects of the student’s research project. Both the student and faculty sponsor must be “in residence” during the summer or together in a relevant field site.

If afforded a grant, the student agrees NOT to undertake summer study abroad unless given written permission by the faculty sponsor and the Dean of the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts.
