Mary (Katie) North | Spanish Major '17
Mary (Katie) North. Spanish ’17, was honored as LMU’s Marian at graduation. The university Marian is the graduating woman with the most outstanding service record and high academic standards. North took pre-nursing courses in the College of Science and Engineering and she volunteered as a clinical assistant at Venice Family Clinic. In her junior year, Katie studied in the CASA program in El Salvador. A recipient of Student Service and Leadership Sister Peg Dolan, Father Alfred Kilp and Sister McKay’s Awards, Mary was inducted to the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honors Society, and to Sigma Delta Pi. She will be pursuing her M.S at USD’s Nursing School.
