The history department sponsors a wide variety of departmental, university, and community events. There have been meetings of the California region of Phi Alpha Theta, the Polish American Historical Association of Southern California, the Pacific Council of Latin American Studies, the California Map Society, the California Historical Society, and the Los Angeles Finlandia Foundation. The department offers wonderful facilities to host these events, such as the Anthony P.
