Financial Assistance for Global Immersion Trips

For BCLA students with financial need, assistance is available to help cover the cost of Spring 2018 Global Immersion Course lab fees. You are eligible receive a grant commensurate with the level of aid you currently receive. Aid is only available for students with a declared major or minor in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts.

Apply for Assistance

A $1200-$3000 lab fee covers airfare, lodging and food for the trip. Financial assistance is available, and an application to apply for scholarships will be available in November. Questions regarding financial aid can be directed to Emily.schlam@lmu.edu.

What if I still cannot afford the lab fee?
If you still cannot afford the lab fee after you have received notification with your grant, you may file an appeal with the BCLA dean’s office, by contacting Assistant Dean Emily Schlam at Emily.schlam@lmu.edu. Note that additional assistance is very limited.

I am not a major or minor in BCLA. Can I still apply for financial assistance?
No. Unfortunately, BCLA can only offer financial assistance to students who are pursuing majors or minors in our college. However, students from all colleges are welcome to enroll in Global Immersion Courses. You are encouraged to seek assistance from your college's dean's office.
