Financial Assistance for Global Immersion Trips

For BCLA students with financial need, assistance is available to help cover the cost of Spring 2016 Global Immersion Course lab fees. You are eligible receive a grant commensurate with the level of aid you currently receive. Aid is only available for students with a declared major or minor in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts.

Submit this Appeal Form to Adjust Cost of Attendance to the financial aid office by December 9, 2016

BCLA students should only fill out section “F” of Appeal Form to Adjust Cost of Attendance and collect the appropriate signatures from the faculty leading the global immersion trip. Students do not need to submit a thesis outline or expense recap documentation to submit the form.

You will be notified of your award amount by December 18.

What if I still cannot afford the lab fee?
If you still cannot afford the lab fee after you have received notification with your grant, you may file an appeal with the BCLA dean’s office, by contacting Assistant Dean Emily Schlam at eschlam@lmu.edu. Note that additional assistance is very limited.

I am not a major or minor in BCLA. Can I still apply for financial assistance?
No. Unfortunately, BCLA can only offer financial assistance to students who are pursuing majors or minors in our college. However, students from all colleges are welcome to enroll in Global Immersion Courses. You are encouraged to seek assistance from your college's dean's office.

I’m not sure if I qualify for assistance or not.
