Manuscript preparation: Submit three copies of your manuscript. Manuscripts must be typed on 8 1/2” by 11” paper. Essays, plays, and short stories must be double-spaced; poems may use the spacing appropriate for the work’s visual and aesthetic needs. The title should appear on the first page. (The author’s name cannot appear anywhere on the manuscript; entries bearing an author’s name will be disqualified.)

If any of these items is not provided, the entry will be disqualified.

Judging: Entries will be judged anonymously by LMU faculty and without written comments. (In a category or division, if the pool of manuscripts is too small or if manuscripts do not meet contest needs, the LMU Writing Awards judges and organizer may choose not to announce an award.)
