Stuart H.D. Ching, assistant professor: B.Ed., University of Hawaii at Manoa; M.F.A., Colorado State University; Ph.D., University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Stuart Ching teaches courses in composition and rhetoric,
children’s literature, and Asian Pacific American literature. His
research has appeared in journals such as The New Advocate, Language
Arts, and Writing on the Edge, and in anthologies such as
Fourteen Landing Zones (University of Iowa Press), The Subject
is Story (Heinemann), and Fractured Feminisms (State University
of New York Press). He has also published fiction in North Dakota
Quarterly, Hawaii Review, and The Madison Review and
in anthologies such as The Best of Honolulu Fiction
(Bamboo Ridge Press), Growing Up Local: An Anthology of Poetry and
Prose from Hawaii (Bamboo Ridge Press), and New Voices (The
Center for Literary Publishing). His current research focuses on cross-cultural
issues in children's literature and in rhetoric and composition studies.
He is also completing a collection of short stories. |
