2012 Huffington Ecumenical Institute Student Essay Competition
The Huffington Ecumenical Symposium is delighted to announce its annual student essay competition in conjunction with its upcoming symposium, “Pan-Orthodoxy in North America: Towards a Local Church.” A prize of $500 each will be awarded to the finest undergraduate and graduate submissions, on the topic of “Ecumenical Perspectives on Orthodoxy in North America.”
1. Register for the Pan-Orthodoxy in North America symposium and attend.
2. Submission forms will be available for pickup at the symposium. You may also print the submission form. Submissions should engage the topic of “Ecumenical Perspectives on Orthodoxy in North America,” with special attention to the presentations of the speakers hosted at the conference, and should be between 1500 and 2000 words.
3. Three paper copies of the essay with the submission form are due by April 1, 2012 to Katherine Lash, UH 3734.
3. One winner from each category (graduate and undergraduate) will be notified by email following blind-review by a panel of professors.
