LMU's minor in German focuses on language acquisition skills, intercultural awareness, literary studies, culture, history, politics, and sciences. Additionally, the upper-division Mastery of German course is geared toward perfecting the students' German in preparation for the internationally recognized proficiency tests that are offered at LMU each Spring semester. The German minor consists of 20 semester hours above German 2. Within this minor, a professional German emphasis is possible for the business-oriented student.
