Vehicle Registration

As a member of LMU you must register your vehicle with the Department of Public Safety. After registration you will receive a parking permit valid all throughout campus. To register, you can visit the Department of Public Safety (open 24/7) located in West Hall. Remember to take the following documents:

1. Vehicle Registration Form

2. Vehicle Registation

3. LMU Student ID Number

4. One Card

5. Valid Driver’s License

Parking Polices

· There is no fee for parking on the Loyola Marymount University Campus. However, visitors are required to park in designated visitor lots. Visitors parked on campus beyond the electronic entrance gates without a proper vehicle registration sticker will be cited and/or towed at the vehicle owner's expense (CVC 21113(a)) . If your vehicle is not registered, it will be considered a visitor vehicle and must park as such. A permit is required to park ANYWHERE on campus. with the exception of specific stalls marked "VISITOR". This 30 minute parking area near the bookstore also requires a permit.

· If you plan on having visitors on campus, be sure and stop by a Public Safety booth or the Public

Safety office located in West Hall to obtain a parking pass and directions on where to park.

· LMU|LA One Card access cards are required to gain access to the campus. Visitors may NOT use a card that is not theirs to gain access. Entry without swiping a One Card will constitute "Illegal Entry" and a citation and fine will be assessed. All visitors and anyone else without One Card access MUST ENTER through the Lincoln entrance to gain access.

· A permit MUST be displayed on the vehicle to park on campus, possession of an active One Card

does not grant authorization to park on campus.

· During the day, the gate arms are raised to prevent a backup of employees and students entering

campus. All visitors MUST STOP at the Public Safety Booth regardless of whether or not the gate arms are up or down. Signs stating " Permit Required" and "Restricted Access" inform Students, Staff, and Visitors of the permit requirement to park on campus.

· Vehicles with a state-issued handicap permit may park in any designated handicap space on campus:

University Hall: use marked spaces on level P1 (there are no handicap spaces on P2 or P3)

Upper Campus: to request access to handicap spaces within gated lots, push the button next to the card-swipe at the lot entrance.

· The speed limit is 15 MPH on the road and 5 MPH in the parking lots. The speed limit is strictly enforced at all times on campus. A citation will be issued for speeding.
