The Center for Teaching Excellence
was established in 1998 and is now in its tenth year of operation. This facility, developed by the faculty through the leadership of the Committee on Excellence in Teaching, is located in University Hall Room 3030. The Center is a place where faculty can participate in a professional dialogue regarding their teaching. In an open and supportive environment faculty can share teaching issues and strategies with their colleagues.

The Center sponsors workshops and presentations that support the University's primary goal of achieving academic excellence by enhancing the teaching and learning processes. The calendar section of this web site has a list of upcoming presentations in the Center.

The Center offers a variety of other forms of assistance for faculty including R. Patricia Walsh Grants in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, travel grant opportunities, and a faculty book club. The services section of this web site contains more information.

Participation in Center events is entirely voluntary and confidential.
